"So long Mr. Postman"

We had a postman that delivered in our neighboorhood for years. Was always early and you could usually get your mail by the time you got home for lunch. I don't know if he retired or got reassigned to a new area but he hasn't been around here for a few months.

I remember one time he came to the door and knocked. I answered the door surprised, but could tell he was pissed about something. He said, "Your the only person getting mail on this block today. Unless something is done about that dog in the front yard at that "drug" ladies house, no one will be getting mail anytime soon." Which I didn't blame him it was damn near impossible to deliver mail with that dog running after you on a very long long leash. I think that leash extended to halfway in the middle of the street.

Well a little later that night Kelly from across the street came over inquiring if we got mail today. I told her we did and what the postman had said. She quickly became pissed. Cause as some sorta sweet karma kickback she was expecting a check from her good ol' ex-husband so she could go to the club that night. So she set off to have a "talk" to the drug lady.

And in a flash things sorta fixed themselves. Money is everything and seemed both of them were expecting child support checks. And the very next day that dog was on a short leash. Why anyone puts a dog in the front yard is beyond me no matter what your reason.

So wherever you are Mr. Postman, we miss you! I miss you! I miss my mail when I come home for lunch. The new guys is slow and he sucks!

And in short...The dog died. The "drug" lady got evicted from her HUD house. Kelly got her house sold out under her by her parents. (oh that is a story worth telling someday). And you missed it all! Come back!!!

I had a nice well written blog and I clicked out of it by accident. "POOF" All gone.... Errrrr
